Today, the last day of my tour of India, was a sightseeing day for a change. And what was my destination? None other than one of the wonders of the world — the majestic Taj Mahal!
It’s an incredible building — absolutely gorgeous. All one can do is to stare up at it and marvel at the craftmanship of the builders, and the ambition of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, who had this monument built to honour his beloved wife Mumtaz. Her tomb lies in the heart of the building. Next stop Fatepur Sikri….
