From 18th of February to 30th July 2023 we are delighted to offer you an international art feast, with events hosted from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Canada, Dubai, Saudia Arabia, Sudan, Pakistan and the USA.

With various themed festivals within MACFEST: Youth, Women, Ramadan, African, Arabic and South Asian Festivals.

Welcome to MACFEST 2023!

 The ground-breaking and award-winning Muslim Arts and Culture International Festival.

Our mission: Celebrating arts, diversity, and connecting communities. We are proud to offer you again a rich feast of 70 events from February to July 2023 across the North West, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the Muslim diaspora communities.

A very warm welcome to our new and existing colleges and schools partners and the British and international students taking part in MACFEST 2023, including from Nigeria.

Nearly all of our events are free. Donations are welcomed.

Groundbreaking award-winning Festival

Qaisra Shahraz is the Founder, Curator and Executive Director of MACFEST, Muslim Arts and Culture Festival.  She successfully hosted 50 MACFEST events in 9 days across the city of Manchester in our first year.

MACFEST was thrilled to bring a great line-up of local, national and international speakers, performers and artists including those from France and Morocco. MACFEST worked closely with local schools and The Manchester College to explore Muslim arts and culture projects.

We aim to bring Muslim and non- Muslim communities together, promote social inclusion and overcome barriers.
Muslim Arts and Culture Festival will celebrate the diversity and richness of Muslim heritage. It will engage people of all ages and denominations, including school, college and university students and local communities.
