On August 9th and 10th 2026 Qaisra Shahraz MBE was invited to speak at two Universities in Dhaka, Bangladesh: Independent University and the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB).
Qaisra shared the trajectory of her life and career as an author, reflections on her creative journey, the writing process, fiction and novel writing, and scriptwriting for
television, at “The Writing Life: A Conversation with Qaisra Shahraz MBE” and her expertise and experience on women’s issues and building cultural bridges at “Celebrating Women and Building Bridges,” for students and faculty members.
Her participation offered the students and faculty members a valuable opportunity to learn from her experience as an internationally recognised author and screenwriter, about her research, novels, education, and interfaith work, as well as running an international festival connecting communities worldwide.
