VISIT TO THE UNIVERSTY CREATIVE WRITING CENTRE AND THE ARCHIVES LIBRARY

It was a privilege to visit to the University of Santo Tomas on 21st October. My wonderful host Dr. Joyce Arriola took me on a tour of the campus. I was delighted to visit the wonderful library which houses the famous archives centre with archives dating 400 years. It was lovely to visit the universities the creative writing center headed by my dear friend Prof Cristina Hidalgo.

Archives
It was a real privilege to visit the archives. I learned so much about the restoration process of the old documents, books, etc. The head of the archives took me on a tour and introduced me to the restoration process of the old documents.
Creative Writing
Cristina’s Office
I enjoyed visiting Cristina’s Office. She is the Dean of the Center of creative writing and literary studies. We exchanged copies of our books. I am holding her book ‘To Remember To Remember’ that she launched at the conference and she is holding mine ‘The Typhoon’ and ‘The Holy Woman’.
