10th April, Lahore

Qaisra is really looking forward to her literary event at the prestigious Government College of Lahore, University, Pakistan, with its splendid Victorian building. Her pleasure particularly stems from the fact that it’s her father’s former college.

She will be speaking on various topics including:

“Building Cultural Bridges Through Literature”

“Thank you to Dr Rubina Sheikh, Ms. Mahrukh Nishat and their wonderful literature team for their inviting and for hosting me. My aim is to build cultural bridges through literature. I will talk about my novels, stories including “A Pair of Jeans” studied in Germany schools, life as a writer. Of course I will share my experience as a Muslim Mancunian living in difficult times and about the Arena attack in my beloved home city of Manchester, as well as the new festival MACFEST that I have set up.” Qaisra
